Tips to Make the Most of your Travel Photos

Traveling opens the door to new worlds. Each culture and country offers unique sights, sounds, smells, and adventures. Your camera should be one of the first things on your list to pack. Here are some tips to make your travel photographs awesome!

Chichen Itza – One of the Seven Wonders of the World

Tip 1: Change your Level or Angle

Travelers on vacation often get similar photos of the same famous monuments. Finding a different angle, hopping up, or kneeling down to get to a different vantage point may get you that unique view others fail to capture!

Tip 2: Wake up Early

It might be tempting to sleep in on your vacation but sunrises can be some of the most beautiful photos you may take. Don’t worry about objects in your photo that turn out really dark (like the palm trees in the photo). This is called silhouetting and it is awesome!

Tip 3: Don’t Forget the Local Wildlife

The wildlife you may encounter count as locals too! Photographing your whole trip, including the wildlife, can help tell the story of your adventure. Don’t forget to get down to their level if you can!

Tip 4: Close-ups and Details

Getting up close and personal to objects can result in awesome pictures. You can capture details to admire later, long after your vacation. Paying attention to your camera’s focus is key!

Tip 5: Bad Weather

Even rainy days can show beauty! Don’t let that stop you from getting interesting photos or videos.

I hope you enjoyed these tips!
